I can't resist throwing up a photo of an inlay that was intended to be a one off for myself and ended up on the fingerboards of a series of 25(actually 35) guitars. A Japanese collector made a rediculously high offer on the original guitar at the 1997 NAMM show in Nashville and came back later that same day and wanted to order 9 more guitars...all of different designs and wood combinations...with the same inlay in each of their fingerboards. After taking delivery of only the first five, he asked if he could order another ten. At that point I decided to limit its use to a series of 25 guitars and kept the rest beyond his initial here in the US. Those Japanese models didn't constitute any of the 25 in the actual series.

This is in the board of my favorite of that "Creation Series". This guitar may actually my favorite of the nearly 500 acoustics that I've built. It belongs to a good friend and customer who has a pretty impressive collection of both high end electrics and acoustics. He runs a little forum that some here may want to check out at www.churchplayer.com and the name is pretty explanatory of what it all about.

Thanks,

Wow, you truly are an artist there Kevin. I'd sure like to see more of the "creation" guitar. Looks just awesome.Rod True38790.9958101852

Kevin, I will do. I have not done but one this year as my real job has kinda ruled my time. I have a Rosevine on the my list of thing to do this summer. I will post that project as it unfolds. I have long admired your work. inperticular the Michael Angalo hands from the Cistine chaapel. I did not mean to be to critical. maybe the pic was miss leading on the gaps. I re- read my critique and realized it may have sounded harsh. I hope you know that was not my intent.

Rod,
Here are a few photos of that all Koa "Creation" Series MJ.

I have a set of Koa set aside for myself that has incredible figure and great honey gold color to do almost the same guitar for myself. The biggest dfference will be that on my guitar, I'll be using darker, contrasting Koa pieces for the binding.

Thanks,
Kevin Gallagher/Omega Guitars
